Camp Eden Wood

Feels like a world away from city life. Metro area groups can enjoy that "up north" experience without the long drive. Camp Eden Wood is tucked in the woods on Birch Island Lake just west of where I-494 meets Highway 62 in Eden Prairie. It's ideal for meetings and offers rustic yet comfortable overnight accommodations.

The 6,000 square foot Welcome Lodge features a fully-staffed catering kitchen and is equipped with a guest computer and free wireless Internet access. It provides an ideal location for meetings and seminars.

Our newly-renovated Dormitory is among the exceptional buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It's in the center of Eden Wood's 20 beautiful acres. The Dormitory was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. Built in 1925, the building was the summer home to children from the Glen Lake Sanatorium who were diagnosed or exposed to tuberculosis. The Glen Lake Children’s camp operated from 1925-1950. It is the only camp of its type left in Minnesota, one of two left in the United States, and the only one still operating in line with original purpose, as a children’s camp.

Dormitory

The dormitory has single and bunk beds and sleeps up to 32 guests. It has an attractively furnished kitchenette, two large bathrooms, 10 bedrooms and a large great room (716 square feet) for gathering.

Birchwood Cabin

This cabin features a large living and dining areas with vaulted ceilings, fireplace, furnished kitchen, a lower level gathering room, four bathrooms and sleeping spots for up to 29 guests. Birchwood has a wonderfully spacious feel.

Lion's Den

This cozy cabin sleeps 20 people and has a gathering room, three bathrooms and kitchenette. Each bedroom has three or four single and bunk beds.

Boulay

This one-bedroom, one-bathroom cabin nestled in the woods sleeps four. It has a delightful fireplace and a small kitchenette. Boulay is a utilitarian space with an office and sitting area. In the summer it serves as our health center.
